FIRST AID CERTIFICATION

We offer two levels of First Aid training

Each candidate will receive a Lifesaving Society Canadian First Aid Manual and upon successful completion of a course, candidates will receive an official certification card.

​

All certifications are valid for a period of 2 years from the date of certification as per WSIB regulations.

First Aid

STANDARD FIRST AID & CPR-C/HCP

New Certification and/or Recertification courses are available!


Topics include: the goals and legal implications of first aid, the importance of self-protection, primary and secondary assessments, conscious and unconscious choking procedures, management of bystanders, respiratory emergencies, shock, heart attack and angina, external bleeding, stroke and TIA, abdominal injuries, burn injuries, facial injuries,  care of unconscious victim, suspected spinal injury, environmental injuries (heat and cold), bone and joint injuries (fractures, sprains, strains and dislocations), chest injuries, suspected head injuries, seizure, diabetic emergencies, poisoning, anaphylaxis emergencies (using an auto-injector), critical incident stress management. 


Also includes CPR-C: one and two rescuer CPR for an adult, child and infant and AED: one and two rescuer AED for an adult and child.

Note: If needed CPR-C can be replaced with CPR-HCP.

EMERGENCY FIRST AID & CPR-B
